There is a Sainsbury store near Sherborne railway station, approximately 2 miles. There is a small street market, in Sherborne, on a Thursday and Saturday mornings and a WI Market, in Digby Road Hall, on a Thursday morning.·
There is a choice of good country inns/restaurants within easy reach.·
There are several fine golf courses in the Sherborne area, including an enjoyable 'pay-and-play' nine-hole course within walking distance of Glebe House.·
Sherborne, with its wide range of shops, restaurants, leisure and cultural facilities is just ten minutes drive away.·
The Dorset Heritage Coast is within easy driving distance, as are the towns of Bath, Bournemouth and Dorchester. There is a regular (and inexpensive) train service to Salisbury and Exeter from Sherborne station.
